Ava Beathard "Head" Official Visualizer
March 15th, 2025
Director/Editor

Completed my third visual project to accompany an Ava Beathard single! This one was for her new single, Head. We acted quick on this one, as traction started picking up after she posting the first teasers of the song on her socials. We were able to go from first meeting to video posted in just 34 days.
Studio Lighting Assignments
January - March 2025
Photographer

This semester, I've been studying studio lighting under Guggenheim receiving photographer Tamara Reynolds at Belmont University. I've seen major progression in my lighting and posing abilities since starting the course in January. These are some portrait highlights from projects I've completed in the first half of the semester, and I'm looking forward to what I create for my final.

Benjamin Stratton Release Show Visuals
February 2025
Live Visuals/Photographer

Benjamin, a close friend and artistic collaborator of mine, released his EP "Circles" this month, and I got to help him with the roll out by shooting photos in our studio lighting class and throwing visuals at his release house show. The visuals where a combination of my folder of glitch clips, and Benjamin's video art project, "Who Has Taught Them to Choose with Care?" as well as animations for each artist made by Benjamin. Everything was run out of Resolume through my Analog Video Mixer for custom effects.
Chris Peranich is seen playing in the clip.
A Sanctuary for Art (Mini-doc)
January 2025
Videographer/Reporter

This was a short news piece I made as apart of my Multimedia Journalism class at Belmont University. Since 1997, Downtown Presbyterian Church in Nashville has hosted artist residencies in its unused upper floors, but now the building is at risk.
The Hibbs Building is the newer of two structures at Downtown Presbyterian Church. Built in 1917, it stood unused for many years between 1960 and 1997, and the upper two floors went into decay. Now, over $1 million in repairs are needed to bring the spaces up to code, and the tithe from the dwindling congregation isn’t enough to cover the costs.
“It is a distinct possibility that the only economically viable thing to do with it is to tear it down and build new space there,” said David Maddox, an elder at the church and liaison between the church and the studio artists.
Effin's Sunset Soiree Recap
December 2024
Videographer/Editor

Worked on this recap for Something Good, the Nashville creative collective that was hosting the event. Something Good is a regular client of mine at this point, so I'm always happy do shoot their stuff!
Untitled Towers Project
June 2024-Present
Photographer

The Untitled Towers Project is my most recent fine art photography project. It aims to document the American electrical grid with the grandiose and mythological characteristics of it's design front and center. For most people, the towers are a invisible addition to the modern landscape, but they have always captured my attention. The show will be opening in the Watkins Art Gallery at the Packing Plant on December 14th, 2024. Join me for the opening reception and Q&A.

Wizard of Loneliness Visualizer - Slodeo
November 8, 2024
Glitch Art, Editor

I've been dying to work with Slodeo. We've been working together in the Nashville indie scene for years together now, and haven't had an opportunity to make a proper video. This visualizer was made for their Halloween show among eight others, but this one was too good to not publish permanently. I hope you enjoy it as much as me and the Jack's do. HE HAD IT COMING!
Family Dog Music Video - Ava Beathard
October 25, 2024
Producer, Videographer, Editor
Directing Partner: Cage Parrish

Working on my second video with Ava was a blast! I got to learn some new things about production: mainly casting. The family of actors in this video was casted from various sources online, and we arranged for them all to come to our location to shoot. Cage and I also did some location scouting when we were looking for the dog shelter. We looked at a few but ultimately pursued getting permission to shoot at the Williamson County Animal Hospital. The video is edited with touches of my signature glitch style, and color graded with a new process in Davinci Resolve. Overall, was a fun and exciting project, and I can't wait to work with Ava again!
